TITANIA is lying asleep in her fairy bower.  The weaver and amateur actor BOTTOM has had his head turned into that of a donkey, but does not realise that he has been changed.  TITANIA has had love potion dropped into her eyes so that she will fall in love with the first thing she sees.  In this scene, she awakes and sees BOTTOM.
