KING RICHARD III had been crowned; he is surrounded by BUCKINGHAM, CATESBY, a page, and others.  He has become King by murdering KING HENRY the SIXTH, by scheming for the death of his brother CLARENCE, by organising the deaths of countless noblemen who stood in his way, by the usurpation of his nephews, the seduction of the widow of one of his victims and spreading propaganda about his dead brother KING EDWARD IV. In this scene, he speaks to his henchmen about his immediate plans to marry his niece and kill his nephews.
