GEORGE, DUKE OF CLARENCE has been imprisoned in the Tower of London on the orders of his brother KING EDWARD IV and by the machinations of his younger brother RICHARD DUKE OF GLOUCESTER.  In this scene, he is recounting to his jailer – BRACKENBURY – the prophetic dream that he has just endured.
