LADY - now QUEEN - ANNE is flanked by the DUCHESS OF YORK, DORSET, ANNE, and others.  She has just heard that she is to be crowned QUEEN.  She has had an unhappy marriage with RICHARD, who seduced her over the body of her former father-in-law KING HENRY the SIXTH when he was the DUKE of GLOUCESTER.   Earlier in the play, she cursed RICHARD’s future wife, and is now reliving her words and the trauma she has unleashed upon herself.
