Shakespeare Senior Course

Service Description

Ideal for performers aged twelve - eighteen, this course is for those who are either struggling with, or who would like to enhance their nascent appreciation of Shakespeare's writings. The bespoke content will focus on the socio-historic background of Shakespeare's plays, explore key themes, and unpack language and versification. Primarily, we will work on how to harness natural casting and home in on accessible plots and characters to boost acting skills and confidence. The course will focus on character study, textual understanding and the learning and performance of a Shakespearean script which would be suitable for an accredited examination. (If an exam is desired, full preparation for this may potentially entail additional lessons) The course fee is for four hours which can be scheduled as you wish on dates and times convenient to you: either as one long morning or afternoon session, or across several weeks.
